Hallo almal. Ek het nou al hierdie forum baie besoek nadat ek dit ontdek het. Ek het twee Yorkie kinders, Cindy (1 jaar 11 maande) en Rafa (amper 7 maande) . Ek het al so baie oulike goed op hierdie forum raakgeloop en het besluit om ook te registreer (sjoe ek voel trots op myself dat ek dit reggekry het - 'n eerste vir my, want ek doen nie die facebook, twitter ens ding nie). Ek hoop maar net als wys wat moet wys .

Thank's Megs. I'm sure I will. I never thought that Yorkies can take over your whole life . I just want to know more about them all the time. I never knew anyone with yorkies, but since I got Cindy - now it seems like every second person has one or knows someone with one . My brother and his wife also fell in love with Cindy and now they also have two yorkies (Yoda and Chewbakka, one 6mths and the other 7 mths).

It's the best seeing ppl fall in love with them. I have friends that see Zoey and are like ah she's not a dog, or they don't like small dogs etc - then spend some time with her and LOVE her. It always makes me laugh!

I see that you are from Strand? If I may ask, whom did you buy your yorkies from. I bought my male from a lady in Strand last year (Thea)

They are very addictive. My hubby who only liked big dogs are ruled by our yorkies.

We have a female Ciara (4yrs old) and male Mika (1yr 5mths)!

Val, I bought my female (Cindy) from a lady in Kuilsriver-area (also a Sonja) and the male (Rafa) from a Lady in Somerset West/Gordonsbay area (Michelle from Joie de Vivre). There seems to be a lot of yorkies in the Strand area (I only moved there two years ago). Cindy is a real queen (drama-queen ), since she is a whiner and also has separation anxiety. Rafa is my little happy boy, always bouncing around :bounce: and happy by himself . I took him to puppy classes and I think that was a good thing. Cindy never attend classes and I took her to work with me until she was 6 months (maybe this was the start of the separation anxiety?).

Ok. I was just wondering.

Our male is also more independent than the female. Also probably because we treated her like a little princess and also fussed about her a lot. She absolutely loves attention and barks at us when we dont give her enough!!! Mika on the otherhand loves to be on his own and get up to mischief!!!

But they are adorable and can get away with murder!!!! We cannot stay angry at them for too long!!!

As jy enige vrae het, gaan loer in die Site Help and Suggestions-afdeling vir raad of vra vir my of Val as jy nie regkom nie.

En jy's heeltemal reg - Yorkies is net anders. Mense val soos vlieë vir hulle sjarme Ek het ook nooit iemand gesien met Yorkies totdat ek my eie een gekry het nie, maar nou het my Ma ook twee Yorkies, Zorro en Venus. Hulle is ware Weskus-honde en tog te oulik. Hehe, daai twee is die verwelkomingskomitee by hulle gastehuis!

Die probleem met Yorkies is egter dat hulle soos simba chips is: Jy kan nie met een tevrede wees nie!

I find in general my female yorkies are far more independent then my male yorkies My 2 boys don't want to let me out of their sight & want to be with me ALL the time They are very loyal & loving My girls seem happy with or with out me
