This is a really sad situation, but hopefully some good will come out of it.

I've been asked to help someone find a new home for Mickey and Sassy. They are 6 and 7 years old and in the Weltevreden Park, Westrand.


It is the worst thing that i have ever had to do is get rid of your dogs.. they are like my children and are part of the family. I live at home with my mom and my brothers have moved out so the house is too big for us now. My mom was retrencehed about a year ago and now we have been put in to a situation where have had to sell our house.

My mom is moving to Classerie, which is on a game farm and its just to risky to take Mickey and Sassie there. And i have to find a place to rent but the salary that i am getting at the moment i am unable to afford a place with a garden.

I feel horrible for doing this.. and really would love to have a bit of help in finding them the best home.

Mickey is very cute. His a busy lil guy. But very loving and loves attention. He hasnt got a problem with little kids, but like all animals just keep an eye.. cause he isnt use to them.
He is a very good guard dog well he thinks he is... barks at any strangers that come into the house until he knows that they wont do any harm.

Sassy is much smaller than Mickey. Shes more the quiet lap dog, that sleeps most of the day.
Last week we took her to the vet as she was struggling to breath. The vet said that she has a collapsed lung, and Bronchi which he said is commom in these small dogs.

She has been on medication now and seems to be much much better.
He did advice us that although she is small she has to lose a 1 kg. she has to stay cool, and she cant get too excited, as when she does that will cause her chest to close up.
But she has been fine since she has been on the medication, and is basically back to normall. We just more carefull with her now.

Mickey has been fixed aswell as Sassy. They both stay in the house. They are both very sociable with other dogs, we often take them to a place called walk haven to go run around and play with other dogs.
We would like them to go together, as they have grown up together.

Please will you help me find the best home for them.. im so worried about them and would like them to be loved and cared for.

That is sad, I know how they must feel? Are they yorkies?

Sorry I forgot to ask is westrand in cape town, I might have somebody interested, they were interested in brutus, but he allready found a home. I will ask them and if they are interested I will send you their details.

The people are not intrested, they say the dogs are to far for them. SORRY
