PostSubject: Puppy Scams BEWARE!   Tue Nov 23, 2010 11:49 am

I came across this advert today and it REALLY infuriates me. I reorted the advert on Gumtree but I dont think they really do much about it. So I googled the email address...do yourselves all a favour and do the same and you will DIE at the scams that this person is pulling! Seems these puppies live in all provinces and they are even trying to do the same thing with bulldogs

NOTE! there is NO SUCH THING AS A FREE YORKIE! never believe it and dont even entertain the idea. Unless it is at a shelter or from a person you personally know. When I got Taylor I was so convinced I was being conned that i drove after work on a Friday afternoon 120kms to go and see her with my own eyes, hold her and talk to the breeder before handing ovr any money.

How do we prevent this? they say "adoption" but when you contact them there will 99% be an airfare involved which you pay and they run. I see the signs only because someone tried to scam me like this before.

Just google that email address in the advert... affraid Evil or Very Mad Shocked

I cant seem to access this link either. But the add I saw on Gumtree also said tea cup yorkies for adoption. There were two pups standing over the edge of a box. They probably stole that pic from someones website!! I reported it as well.

It is frightening how many scams are on Gumtree and the likes affraid Sick what people will do for money Evil or Very Mad But these scam artists are creating a huge problem for the people who are trying to put genuine Ads on Gumtree affraid My Ad on Gumtree has been booted off twice - but I am not violating any of the Gumtree policies Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation I emailed Gumtree my reactivation request and they have put my Ad back now - but no one there can answer my question "for what reason was the Ad removed?" So I can only imagine it's because someone thought it must be a scam Question Question Question

It's sad hey? Sad the legit people lose out Sad Perhaps they felt the advert for the forum was unrelated?? dunno! think of it this way...Gumtree is full of people scamming others...but maybe some of the buyers are also rotten so your puppy will be better off!

Now report Jose to Yahoo as a scam artist and they will cancel his account. That will kill response to ALL his ads (you can bet gumtree is not the only place he is advertising...that horrid woman with the "boerdery" was advertising on Junk Mail and other places!). But if his account is cancelled by Yahoo, he will have to do a LOT of work getting a new account and changing all his adverts before he can start picking people's pockets again.
