PostSubject: Orijen & Acana Samples Arrived Yesterday   Fri Oct 15, 2010 10:59 am

Woohoo! I met Andrew Fourie from Champion Pet Foods yesterday when he dropped off my (free) samples for Acana Puppy and Orijen Adult. Very nice guy - his dogs are also fed raw food, but he also plans to switch them to half kibble and half raw. Just like me Smile

This morning, Cash and June got Orijen kibble for breakfast and they seemed quite happy about it, crunching away. And I'm quite happy about it because it makes my morning routine a little bit easier.
I'll post updates as they go along Smile

Contact Andrew or Merica and they'll send you some samples. Their distribution to vet shops, etc. focuses on Cape Town at the moment, but they can send you anything you want. Email them at andrewfourie@global.co.za and ask Smile

I also received my samples on Friday afternoon!!!

Andrew is quite nice and informative. Mika and Ciara also enjoyed their kibble dry and is with nothing added!!! I must say that they would never eat their RC or Hills kibble in that way!!!!

So far so good!!!

The kibble is slightly larger than the Hills and RC, but not that much!! Mika seems to enjoy that kibble dry and chews away at it!!! Ciara also eats hers like that, but she is still a little bit fussy!!

Great stuff, Taylorwoods. They are going to love it. You don't have to worry about kibble size - June (2kg) eats the kibble with ease (and relish!). Keep us posted on how they do on their new food!

our 2 year old yorkie started losing hair (in patches), and we only ever fed her hills/eukenuba/royal...... she went to vet for skin biopsy, they couldn't find anything in particular except possible 'air allergies' so we did what we could eg. change to metal bowls, took away her plastic toys (which are her favourite), changed her bedding, bought an air purifier. as a last resort we changed her food one last time, this time asking at a pet shop....and they suggested the lamb and apple acana...as it does not contain chicken, yeast etc etc.....

well, 3 months later her fur is looking better then ever, so now both our girls are on acana, and my moms 12 year old yorkie too!!!
