Bugatti is 5 months old now and I think he's coat is changing into his adult coat because I've been struggling a lot with tangles and knots lately.

This weekend I've purchased the WAMPUM Instant Slip & Sheen spray and it works WONDERFULLY!!! I spray it directly onto the knots BEFORE a bath because it is an oil based product and the tangles brush out almost immediately.

After his bath I sprayed it lightly onto his coat again and together with the Wampum shampoo, leave-in conditioner and Miracle Grooming spray, his coat is shinier and silkier than ever!! I am really impressed with their products!!

I just thought I'd post another tip for knots and tangles. I sure get them a lot!!!

I really need to try these wampum products some day. mine have short hair at the moment yet still get knotty if they have jerseys on for even a night

Sound like a great product! I will have to note these things. Im not sure how Mika's coat will turn out when it gets longer. he still has the black puppy hair which is a little sticky, but at the moment i brush it regularly to avoid knots. Luckily Ciara has the silky hair. It also knots if you dont keep your hand on it, but not as quickly!!

I finally tried the Maizena on Ciara's facial hair this morning and it worked great!!!! Now I must just make sure that it does not knot again!!!

I'm glad it helped Val!! It really helps a lot to comb out any knots with Maizena.

Ladies what am I doing wrong One of my girls got a nasty matt, so I gave her a bath first then blow dryed her, then rubbed some maizena into the matt............ but I struggled as much as ever to get the matt out

I just rubbed the Maizena into the knot, after she was dried and gently brushed the hair and it came out??? I was amazed.

Maybe use a little more??? Im not sure??

when you guys say they had a knot...how bad was it???? because a tangle and a knot are very different in my opinion. when i say a knot i mean a proper matt of hair.

I forgot about the maizena thing so im not sure, i will try it tomorrow and then comment!

Well, when I say knot I mean it was matted up against Ciara's chin and and the only way to get rid of it would have been to shave it off. She had about three patches under her chin and now they are gone and it was quite a cluster of hair!!!

I put it on BEFORE giving them a bath! And comb it out properly. I use quite a bit and rub it in properly directly onto the mat/tangle! Then I try and pull some of the hair away with my fingers to "open up" the tangle. Then I comb it out, add more, comb, add more, comb until it is out! Hope this helps Sharlamay!!

Ek wens ek het van julle geweet 9 jaar gelede!!!!! Ek het twee kinders wat se hare lyk soos matte. Toe ek nou hier lees van die Maizena het ek dit dadelik gaan probeer. Dit werk. Het opgegooi en uitgekam so aangehou vier maal. Hier by ons is daar nie 'n ordentlike parlour nie, ek kan nie my yorkies na die vrou in die dorp vat nie. Sy is geneig om hondjies op hulle magies raak te skeer. Baie duisende dankies vir al die goeie raad. Dankie dat julle bereid is om te deel.

Mag ek nie gewone conditioner of detangeling spray op my babatjie gebruik nie?

Merlot se haartjies raak nou mooi lank & sy koppie is besig om vinnig te verkleur, hy lyk te cute. Ek het die naweek vir hom 'n rekkie ingesit om die hare uit sy oë te hou. Ek het ook vir hom & Shiraz strikkies bestel.
Ek sal ook seker maar self moet skeer & knip wanneer die tyd reg is want by ons is daar net 1 salon & dit is nie naweke oop nie.

Ek sal definitief die maizena tip onthou as hy koeke kry.

Ek het die detangling shampoo vir Ciara se hare gebruik. Dit het vir haar gewerk, maar daar is ook baie ander produkte wat help. Baie van die forum lede het ood Wampum produkte gebruik wat baie goed was.
