Now that Trigger is grown up him and Taylor LOVE to play! In fact she is the instigator 99% of the time even if he is not in the mood to play.

But the 2 of them love to grab each other by the ears and Im worried one of them is going to do some damage. they get really rough with each other and every now and again I hear a screech and normally it's because Taylor has him by the ear and is dragging him around. the collars are the next best thing (always try and strangle your victim!).

this morning they managed to squeeze under the bed and Trigger started to yelp...when I looked Taylor had this evil look on her face as she looked at me from the corner of her eye with his ear between her teeth as if to say "Igot him this time mom". I tell them off and stop the rough play but she keeps doing it because she knows if she can get his ears then she is in control.

I'd like to stop this ear biting before one of them tears an ear or strangles the other.

Mika and Ciara is doing the same thing at the moment!! Ciara lets him bite her ears to a point until he gets too rough and then he gets a bite from her or she runs off. Most times its Ciara that yelps, but soon afterward Mika yelps!!! Its too cute to watch though!!!

And yes, Ciara is the one teasing Mika and drawing him out for a fight!!

Cash and June do the same thing. Cash loves to drag June around by her ears or her topknot. I have always been worried because he could hurt her. But then I saw that when he really hurts her, she gives a loud yelp and he lets go. When she gives that yelp, he always lets go. It really put my mind at ease that he knows when he should stop.

If we stop their playing beforehand, June goes back for more! They differ by 3kg and Cash doesn't play nicely, so I was always worried. But even as a puppy, she would continue teasing him after he pulls her ears! They also play hide-and-seek under my bed because June is small enough to fit and Cash isn't. It's really funny to watch - she looks like one of those games at the arcade where heads pop out all over the place and you have to hit them, lol.

Mika also bites Ciaras hair and even pulld her pom-pom off at times!!! I was also worried at first because Mika really bites, but he also listens to Ciara and when she bites him back or yelps, he stops and then starts again. If she really doe not want him to bite her she jumps on the couch or bed where he cannot get hold of her so I leave them!!!

Mika loves lying under our bed on his back, paws in the air and pulls himself around under the bed making the cutest of sounds!! His head also pops out upside down now and then!!! Its too cute to watch!!!! And he is quite fast at pulling himself around under the bed!!!! So fast that I was watching him one day and the next thing I know he got hold of my ear and hair and would not let go!!!! Embarassed That was quite sore!!!! Crying or Very sad I was very shocked affraid and I think he too when he realized what he did!!!!!

haha Val that sounds so cute!!

Just watch Taylor & Trigger with their collars on, when I took Zoey to Puppy Class at the Vet - which was more an information class than obedience she was saying that you should only have a collar on when you taking the dog out because they can strangle each other if playing with them on or the collar can get caught on something.
I go through phases where I leave Zoey's collar on and then she can go for weeks without having one.

That is exactly what I was worried about with collars Sad Trigger often coughs if I restrain him around his chest and I never hold him by his collar because I know how fragile their throats are - Im scared one day Taylor tears his ears off or chokes him to death! affraid

The breeder I got my puppies from had to get rid of her one dog because he always fought with the others and one day he attacked Taylor's father and ripped his ear in half and they had to rush him to the vet for stitches. I know mine wont get that bad as they are only playing and never fight, but those ears are thin and I would hate something to happen!
