I've tried a few things in my search for a natural flea killer, something that wasn't a poison. After considerable research, I read about diatomaceous earth and how amazing it is. I explained all of its qualities in a previous thread, but it is organic, can be used to kill many insects as well as intestinal worms when mixed into their food. Farmers use it for their livestock.
We tried it this week and I'm sorry to say that it is a disgusting product. It's a fine powder and you have to sprinkle it onto their coats and rub it in. It dries their hair out completely, causes the hair to tangle constantly and smells like a kitty litter box. And after three days of litter-box hell, the fleas seem to like their new terrain and aren't showing signs of leaving or dying.
They smell horrible. This powder makes them feel, look and smell like stinky, dirty dogs

I'm going to buy Revolution and bath them over the weekend.
