Yes, you must definitely do that! Just make sure that you miss the storms! Hehe, secretly, I love the rain since it gives me a reason to spend the whole day on the computer!

I remember the storms, and those black south-easters.
Oh I love Cape Town - was born there...........
Work is the ONLY thing that keeps me here and since we are on short time maybe we can start making plans to move......

I am in Cape Town, too. Up in the beautiful Blouberg area.

My hubby is an engineering manager for Eskom, building new power stations. His team just finished a 9-generator power plant in Atlantis and he will soon be going to Koeberg to start planning the next nuke for the Cape. We go where his work takes him, but so far Eskom has been able to provide him with work here in the Cape and with any luck, we'll be able to stay.

OH! What I would give to get some of that rain and not have all the neighboring farms soil on my kitchen cabinets with the dust storm we are having.

I love the Cape, Western and Eastern.
Hubby and I spent four days in Cape Town last week.. it was wonderful.

We have bought a stand in HagaHaga (about 70km from E.L towards the Wild coast) and hope to start building next year. This will be our retirement home.. yep ladies we are reaching that age. lol.
We are building 2 cottages underneath, one for family and friends and the other to rent out, so one day soon, I can invite you to bring your babies for a holiday in Haga!

The other one will be to help with our retirement fund!

We have lived in Joburg and surrounds all our lives and it is definitely time for a move!
